With fall semester in full swing, we’re holding some essential equipment and safety workshops this weekend – just for current Dodge students.  They take place this Saturday and Sunday, with two sessions each to choose from.  You’ll definitely want to learn these skills to boost your productivity on- and off-set, the sooner the better!

If you have a project coming up and plan to shoot on the stage, we suggest you get your crew into these workshops (we’re looking at you, freshmen).  More workshops may be added if the need arises.  Sign-up sheets will be posted on the shop door, MKS 125.

Stage Systems Workshop

The Stage System Workshop will teach you safety rules as well as how to use the lighting boards, hoists, elephant doors, roll up doors and scissor lifts.

  • Saturday, September 7th – 9 a.m. – noon
  • Saturday, September 7th – 1-4 p.m.

Sceneshop Workshop

The Sceneshop Workshop will train you to safely use the saws, nail guns and other tools available to you.

  • Sunday, September 8th – 9 a.m.-noon
  • Sunday, September 8th – 1-4 p.m.

IMPORTANT: Please be sure to wear tennis shoes or boots to these workshops.   You will not be allowed to take the workshops if you don’t.
