You are invited to a special screening of Chapman Filmed Entertainment’s first feature film
THE BARBER on Monday, December 8 at 7:30 PM in the Folino Theater.

A character-driven thriller, The Barber examines two men fixated on what triggers the enormity of evil: a father whose life is destroyed in pursuit of a killer, a son caught in a deadly charade as he tries to unravel his father’s obsession. The film stars Scott Glenn (The Silence of the Lambs, The Bourne Ultimatum, Training Day), Stephen Tobolowsky (Memento, Groundhog Day, Buried) and Chris Coy (Random, Greenberg, Hostel: Part III).

In celebration of this major accomplishment for CFE and milestone for Chapman University, we invite you to join us for an exclusive friends and family screening at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.

Travis Knox, Vice President of Production and Development had this to say about the screening:

“I truly hope you can attend the screening of The Barber. After the film, we’ll have a brief presentation and Q&A to explain what’s happening with this production, and share some exciting news as the overall program moves forward. While Chapman Filmed Entertainment is designed to help accelerate the careers of all of our students and alumni, it’s particularly imperative that you be a part of it.

As film students, your main job is to generate material. When you graduate, you can’t wait for work to come to you. You need to be constantly looking for projects. But what do you do when you find that terrific project that you’re so passionate about? The hardest part for a recent grad is to figure out how to get the material out there.

Well, that’s where we can come in. Chapman Filmed Entertainment is a funded studio that is designed for you. We will be happy to consider the projects you are passionate about.  We’re there to help you in the next step as you move towards making feature films.”

The Hollywood Reporter said of The Barber that “…if this notable feature is any indication of what to expect from the new initiative, Chapman may have hit on a winning formula.” Following the screening, the Chapman Filmed Entertainment team will provide an update on things to come and how you can be involved.
