Production Design Showcase Wows Us Again

Every year around this time, the Production Design students take over the lobby of Marion Knott Studios to show off the amazing things they’ve worked on over the year.
The display showcases concept drawings, previsualization sketches, architectural blue prints, and models of various sets that the students created.
When making a film or show, production designers are extremely important. They’re responsible for the overall look and feel of what they are working on, working closely with the director to figure out how to visually tell the story. Just looking at some of the displays in the lobby, you can see how much work goes into every little detail of a set.
These displays are meant for you to get up close and personal with them. You can get down to eye level, and see what the camera will see, helping to set up shots and plan out blocking. But please, no touching!
