Career Resources and Tips to Utilize Now More than Ever For Students and Alumni Working in Entertainment and Media
April 2, 2020
UPDATED 4/23/2020
Chapman University and Dodge College Career Services are here to provide you continued service during these times of uncertainty. This is the time to touch base with your Career Advisor, faculty, peers, and other industry professionals. Use the various social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook) to reach out to individuals and ask for an informational meeting.
Although some employers are hesitant to hire or unsure if they will have a summer internship program, this does not mean you shouldn’t be connecting with recruiters and submitting applications. You should be doing just that, as everyone is simply confined in their homes and craving interaction.
Go! Do that now! Ask your friends for someone you can contact. Send a tweet to a producer, writer, actress, cinematographer, editor, whoever is in your field. Or request to connect with that hiring manager through LinkedIn. If you have any questions, then use the resources below. Please let jonherna@chapman.edu know if you have any questions about the resources listed below. We will continue to update this page as we receive additional information.
Even though we’re staying in place, don’t stop moving!
