For the fifth year in a row, Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts has earned the No. 4 spot on The Hollywood Reporter’s prestigious list of top film schools. Dodge College first broke into the top five in 2021 and has held its place ever since.

Dodge Students Earn BAFTA Nomination for Their Documentary

Dodge College students Ruthie Weeks (’25), Madee Sabatier (’24), Rebecca Greenwood (’25), and Zohar Varadi (’24) have earned international recognition with a nomination for the 2025 BAFTA Student Award in the Documentary category. Their film, “Where We Once Roamed,” was one of three finalists in the category and the only U.S. entry in the category.

Dodge Alum Wins Student Academy Award

The 51st Student Academy Awards were handed out in London, with three Olympic-style medal placements announced in the shorts categories of animations, live-action and documentary. Dodge alum Aaron Johnson ’24, received the Silver Award for his documentary short “The 17 Percent.”
