As part of a recent piece in the Wall Street Journal, collecting some of the more exciting film festivals taking place in New York this season, our own Television/Broadcast Journalism grad, Brendan Nahmias, and his film, “Humble the Poet,” are cited as major draws for the festival.
Every year, Dodge College students travel around the world, making documentaries and narrative feature films about issues and cultures well beyond the Southern California sunshine. Over the next week, students are welcome to attend several general purpose information sessions to learn about the following travel courses, to Costa Rica and India, respectively. A pair of Chapman Alums are returning to the crowdfunding space for the production of their most recent film “Mzungu,” a low-budget thriller set in Africa. Their Kickstarter campaign is currently seeking backers, and most recently landed a huge spot in IndieWire’s “Project of the Day.”
