Attallah College is proudly hosting a Backpack/School Supplies Drive in Reeves Hall. We are joining CHOC’s program in a unified show of support for local children served by Project Hope Alliance, an organization ardently dedicated to ending the cycle of homelessness, one child at a time.

Our collective efforts can help 300 youth experiencing homelessness in Orange County, by starting their school year off with the resources they need to succeed in school. These donated backpacks, and the school supplies within them, are intended for students across all age groups, ranging from kindergarten to college. Each student will receive a brand-new backpack filled with new school supplies and a gift card for a new outfit. The backpack collection period is from Monday, July 10 to Wednesday, July 19, 2023. All backpacks and school supplies are asked to be newly purchased; different items are requested for elementary vs. secondary students (see the school supply list for recommendations on what to donate).

The greater Chapman University staff and faculty community are warmly invited to contribute to the Backpack/School Supply Drive in several ways:

From July 10 to July 19, 2023:
Attallah College at Reeves Hall – Drop off donations to the Dean’s Suite Rm 101, Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
*If the Dean’s Suite is closed, we will place a collection box outside of the office.
