Grammarly AI Agents Now Available to the Chapman Community
March 20, 2026
Chapman University Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) is pleased to announce that Grammarly AI Agents are now available to all students, faculty, and staff. This expanded access provides powerful, context-aware writing support to help members of the Chapman community communicate more clearly, confidently, and effectively across academic, professional, and creative work. Grammarly AI Agents work alongside you as you write, offering guidance that strengthens ideas while preserving your unique voice.
Grammarly AI Agents go beyond traditional grammar and spell checking by acting as specialized digital helpers that understand your writing goals and context. These agents can help improve clarity and structure, adapt tone for different audiences, anticipate how readers may respond, and support originality through citation and plagiarism tools. Whether you are drafting an essay, preparing course materials, writing emails, or developing reports, the agents provide support throughout the writing process from first draft to final revision.
Grammarly also includes Grammarly Authorship, a feature designed to promote transparency and responsible AI use in academic and professional writing. Grammarly Authorship helps users track how a document was created, including where AI assistance was used, and provides tools to acknowledge that use appropriately. For students, this supports academic integrity by making it easier to disclose AI assistance when required. For faculty, Grammarly Authorship provides greater visibility into how students’ writing is developed, helping to support clear expectations for ethical and responsible AI use in coursework and assignments.
Students can use Grammarly AI Agents to build strong writing skills while practicing responsible and transparent AI use. Faculty can benefit from clearer communication with students and more efficient drafting of academic and administrative materials. Staff members can use the agents to streamline everyday communication and ensure messages are professional, inclusive, and easy to understand. Across campus, these tools are designed to support learning and productivity rather than replace critical thinking or authorship.
Grammarly AI Agents are available across many of the tools and platforms you already use, making it easy to integrate writing support into your daily workflow. To use the AI Agents, visit grammarly.com/edu, log in with your Chapman University account, and open a new doc. On the right-hand side panel, you’ll see a series of agents to support your writing.
