Chapman Law’s Scholarly Impact Dramatically Outpaces U.S. News Ranking

The ABA Journal has published an article that shines an academic spotlight on the scholarly work of Chapman Law. The article, discussing a new University of St. Thomas report, identified Chapman as one of three newer law schools accredited within the past two decades that “have already made a scholarly impact that dramatically outpaces their present academic reputations.”

Chapman Law Alumnae Publishes Article

Elise Diamond, who graduated from Chapman University School of Law in 2012, published an article in The Student Appeal entitled “Gain Practical Experience in Law School.”  In the article Diamond recommends participating in legal clinics, practice-oriented courses, on campus interview programs, and competition teams, all of which are offered at Chapman.

Chapman Law Band Wins ABA Battle of the Lawyer Bands

Chapman Film Clinic's Work Premieres

Chapman Wins Award for Mediation Education

Congratulations to Golden Gavel Winners Cayton & Pflueger-Cavallaro

Chapman’s annual Rutan & Tucker 1L Golden Gavel Competition began with over 170 Legal Research and Writing students arguing a brief that they drafted answering whether Transgendered Individuals were protection under Title VII against discrimination “because of sex,” and if the Defendant employer in an imaginary fact pattern had legitimate reasons to terminate the transgender Plaintiff.

Chapman Law Adopting Military Unit

Chapman Law 3L Rebecca Kipper and her unit were called to active duty, and are stationed in Kuwait.  We are “adopting” her unit and want to send them some support.  Rebecca and her unit have requested toiletry items such as shampoo, conditioner, facial moisturizer, body lotion, body wash, and razors (for both men and women).
