New Letters on Display in the Center for American War Letters

Visit the recently opened Center for American War Letters Reading Room in the lower level of the Leatherby Libraries. In the room you will find a variety of things to interest you including a display devoted to the Tuskegee Airmen of WWII, banners on the wall highlighting examples of letters from each major American conflict, a collection of original Armed Services Editions, and most recently, a display of selected new arrivals to the archive. This display showcases original letters, photographs, and realia from the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, World War One, World War Two, the Korean War, The Vietnam War, the Gulf War, the War in Afghanistan, and the Iraq War. Come and see these treasured examples of correspondence between soldiers and loved ones during times of conflict.
The reading room is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
