In collaboration with Wilkinson College’s Interdisciplinary Series, Interstices 2018: Beyond Human, the Leatherby Libraries invites you to participate in a book club on The Positronic Man by Isaac Asimov and Robert Silverberg. Join us as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of this novel by discussing the work of these seminal science fiction writers to examine the relationships between robots and humans.

The book club meetings will take place on Thursday, February 1 (12 – 1 p.m.) and Thursday, February 8 (5 – 6 p.m.) in The Center for American War Letters Archives, Leatherby Libraries, Lower Level.

Space is limited! For those who are unable to attend in person, virtual streaming will be available through Adobe Connect. To register for a meeting date, contact Esther Shin at or 714-532-6027 indicating your meeting date preference or that you need the virtual link.

The 2018 Interstices panel on Emotion and A.I. will feature Lisa Joy, co-creator and executive producer of HBO’s Emmy winning hit series Westworld. As a book club participant, you will have the option of reserve seating at this event on February 13, 2018.
