This latest display that I had the pleasure of curating was the War display. When I first learned about this new assignment, I was very intrigued and excited as this display has roots within the Leatherby Libraries.

The Leatherby Library is home to the Center of American War Letters. Andrew Carroll is the founder of the CAWL, which contains an extensive manuscript collection of unpublished war letters from every American conflict. Carroll wrote a play titled If All the Sky Were Paper, which will be playing November 10, 2018 at the Musco Center for the Arts. This critically acclaimed play, which is also in honor of the 100th anniversary of Veterans Day, will feature notable actors and actresses such as Annette Bening (American Beauty), Ed Asner (Up), Gary Cole (Office Space), and Kate Mansi (Days of Our Lives).

This display is dedicated to celebrate and promote the upcoming play here at Chapman University. Featured in the display are different genres of books related to war.

Stop by the first floor of the library to check it out, and make sure to purchase your tickets to If All the Sky Were Paper before they sell out!
