Connect to Knowledge: Asian Life in America Reap the Rewards with these Resources
May 15, 2024
The Leatherby Libraries is pleased to now offer access to the Asian Life in America database from Newsbank and Readex.
This database documents the experience and impact of Asian Americans as recorded by the news media from 1704 to 2017. The primary sources in this collection offer an expansive window into centuries of Asian American history and daily life, as well as the ways popular culture has portrayed and perceived people of Asian descent. These sources cover many topical categories, such as arts and entertainment, civil rights and activism, immigration and citizenship, sports, labor, religion, science and technology, and society and culture.
This resource also complements other databases from Newsbank and Readex, such as Black Life in America and Hispanic Life in America.
