In celebration of International Love Data Week, the Leatherby Libraries has curated a book display to celebrate data and promote data literacy on our campus! This year, the theme for Love Data Week is “Where’s the Data?”, which invites participants to consider how data moves through its entire lifecycle, from collection and storage to preservation.

The titles included in this display relate to topics such as data literacy, data visualization, and representation. A highlight in the display is Critical Data Literacies: Rethinking Data and Everyday Life by Licu Pangrazio and Neil Selwyn, which examines how data shapes contemporary life and calls for a more critical approach to understanding and engaging with the data systems that influence education, technology, and society. It encourages readers to move beyond technical skills and toward a deeper awareness of the social, political, and ethical dimensions of data.

We invite students, faculty, and staff to explore this engaging collection and read about what the Leatherby Libraries did this year for Love Data Week.
