35,000 Years of Information Technology should actually be more like 700,000 years of information technology if we define information technology as a permanent and deliberate cultural expression developed by our innate drive to communicate with each other in the present and to leave something of ourselves and our thoughts for the future.

Through this slide presentation and discussion, Dean Charlene Baldwin of the
Leatherby Libraries
will explore the evolution of information technology from the earliest times through various stages and how these developments interface with the outgrowth of libraries, the Internet, and new initiative in the 21
st
century.

The event
, hosted by the
Chapman University Women in Science and Technology
, will take place next Wednesday, November 19
th
at 7pm in AF 211. Free pizza will also be included.
