50 years ago, the students of Chapman College gathered on the Sunken Lawn for the 1968 Commencement.

These alumni are currently members of the Chapman 50 Year Club! In celebration and honor of the Class of 1968 ’s 50-year reunion, a celebratory case is now on display in the Leatherby Libraries Alumni Alcove (Library Second Floor). The case encompasses a combination of memorabilia from the University Archives and other items from the library’s collections. The display highlights several yearbooks, pictures of old homecoming celebrations, Semester at Sea voyage photos, student athletes as well as prominent books and events from the year 1968.

Located in the Alumni Alcove on the second floor, the case will be up until next year’s homecoming.

This year, alumni are also celebrating the 50 year anniversary of Chapman University’s Town & Gown. The group, which is committed to bringing campus and community together, marked their golden anniversary with an event on the sound stages of Dodge College of Film and Media Arts Marion Knott Studios on January 13 at an event which included a red carpet brunch and champagne toast.

Once inducted into the 50 Year Club, members are invited back to campus throughout the year to participate in events and gatherings like the Orientation Candle Lighting Ceremony and Commencement Weekend Dinner.

Congratulations to the Class of 1968 on their induction!
