Ashley Daffron Rejoins Chapman University
January 14, 2026

We are pleased to announce that Ashley Daffron, Pharm.D., has rejoined Chapman University as an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice. Daffron, who served as an Assistant Professor and founding faculty member at CUSP from 2017 to 2018, brings additional years of experience from her time at the University of Colorado.
After departing Chapman in 2018, Daffron spent seven years at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, her alma mater, where she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2015. Her teaching extended throughout the pharmacotherapy curriculum, while she simultaneously dedicated half her time to establishing and expanding clinical pharmacy services within an internal medicine clinic in Denver.
During her previous time at Chapman University, she made substantial contributions to pharmacy education and patient care. As a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist, her practice encompasses chronic disease management, quality improvement initiatives, population health programs, and value-based care delivery. Daffron continues to precept students, residents, and fellows, who benefit from her expertise in bridging classroom theory and clinical reality.
Daffron has built an impressive research portfolio that reflects a practitioner’s eye for problems that matter most in patient care. Her projects have explored continuous glucose monitoring in primary care settings, strategies for opioid and benzodiazepine deprescribing, naloxone co-prescribing practices, and early combination lipid-lowering therapy. Additional research has examined centralized outreach models to improve blood pressure control, virtual continuous glucose monitoring initiation services, and novel approaches to chronic disease management.
Her expertise in ambulatory care, combined with her proven ability to establish clinical services and conduct practice-based research, positions her to make immediate contributions to the institution she helped launch. The Chapman University School of Pharmacy community has expressed enthusiasm about Daffron‘s homecoming, anticipating that her energy and innovative approach will strengthen the school’s mission to prepare the next generation of pharmacy practitioners while advancing patient care.
