In honor of Women’s History Month, Dr. Rachita Sumbria was awarded the 2024 Chapman University Woman of Distinction Award.

Selected as one of four faculty to win the award, a total of 12 faculty, students, alumni, and staff were chosen carefully based on demonstration of leadership, impactful contributions to the advancement of women, and service to the university. Dr. Sumbria accepted her award from the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion on Wednesday, March 27  at 4 p.m. in the Fish Interfaith Center at the awards ceremony.
