A panel of legal and healthcare experts will discuss the Affordable Care Act’s impact on college students, women, families, the elderly, children and persons with disabilities, the insured and the uninsured Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in Argyros Forum, Room 209, at Chapman University.

Scheduled panelists include:

  • Dr. Greg Buchert, former CEO of CalOptima and a practicing physician.
  • Attorney Michael McKinnon, a partner in the law firm of Greenberg Traurig where he focuses his practice on health care issues.
  • Terri Thorfinnson, an attorney and senior level health policy consultant and former chief of the Office of Women’s Health in the California Department of Health Care service and the California Department of Public Health.

The panel discussion is sponsored by the Crean School of Health and Life Sciences, Wilkinson College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Department of Sociology. Attendance is free and open to the public.
