The essence of color quality control is accurate measurement and assessment, but even standard visual color assessments have limitations. Accurate and consistent color measurement is possible with color measurement instruments for both research and production in the food industry. Sample preparation and presentation can be a critical component measurement when an instrument is used in place of the human eye.
