Science on Tap Welcomes New Moderator Spring 2019 season will be moderated by interim dean, Jason Keller, Ph.D.
January 4, 2019
This past fall, Science on Tap kicked off its fourth season in a new location. Chapman Crafted Beer, who has generously supported Chapman University events in the past, welcomed the series and local science enthusiasts to their location in Old Towne Orange. If you missed the fall lineup, you can watch episodes on our Schmid Facebook page.
Andrew Lyon, Ph.D., previous moderator and Schmid College dean, has been selected as the founding dean of the new Fowler School of Engineering. We are excited for Dean Lyon as he transitions to his new role. In the interim, Jason Keller, Ph.D. has been selected to take on the role as dean of Schmid College and will serve as the moderator for Science on Tap in the spring. Previously, Keller was the director of the environmental science and policy program. He has been a member of the Chapman faculty since 2008 and has played an active role in our diversity and inclusion initiatives on campus. Interim Dean Keller will kick off the spring season of Science on Tap starting January 14.
Science on Tap begins at 6:00 pm at Chapman Crafted Beer, located at 123 N. Cypress St. Orange, CA 92866. The event is open to the public, so be sure to get there early for the best seats. Check out the spring schedule below!
