Federal Judge: Religious Schools Exempt From ADA


A special needs student was recently expelled from Haddonfield Friends School in Haddonfield, N.J. after his family requested additional teaching for him. The Quaker school does not have to comply with IDEA or other national disability laws since it is a religious institution. The implications from the case could be big for students with disabilities.

In honor of April being Autism Awareness Month, massive landmarks throughout the world were lighted blue to draw awareness to ASD. Amongst the global landmarks were the Israeli Parliament Building and Christ the Redeemer in Brazil.
