“Designed on the ProCreate application. This sticker depicts the college slogan along with the fenestra in the background.”

“I wanted to use elements that are connected with Wilkinson and Chapman as a whole. We live in Orange, so I wanted to do something with that, and then I incorporated the “Heart and Soul of Chapman” with the skin of the orange being peeled away in a heart.”
Emma Page Gorelick (‘27 Studio Art, CCI Minor)
“I have found so much inspiration for my art in Orange County, so I wanted to give a nod to the orange trees that helped build our county.”

“In my Wilkinson Sticker design, based on the phrase, ‘The Heart and Soul of Chapman University,’ I drew the sticker in the shape of a heart organ. As Wilkinson centers on the study of people, I drew the veins and arteries of a tree, referring to the tree of life and knowledge.

Marisa Lamas (‘26 CCI Minor)
Part of the heart is made of an apple, which is associated with symbolism for physical health, spiritual health, bearing fruit, and wisdom. Apples are also a common subject in still lifes, which relates to the art aspect of Wilkinson. I also drew a hand in the heart representing human creativity since Wilkinson is a College of Arts. For Chapman-related motifs, I drew the Chapman fenestra and a panther in parts of the heart.”

“I drew our wonderful mascot, Pete the Panther, sporting our very own Wilkinson attire!”

“Wilkinson is rooted in creativity and soul. In my design, I wanted to show how complex our college is, with all the intricacies of studying the arts, humanities, & social sciences. I picked lace to represent this as it’s commonly used in art and fashion, industries we study within Wilkinson.”

Ryann Sax (‘26 CCI Minor)

“My chalkboard design represents Wilkinson College and the way a creative mind works. Like a chalkboard, a creative mind can generate countless ideas, sketch anything it imagines, and shift between concepts in seconds.

Ellison Thompson (‘29 Studio Art)
I included a sticky note reading “Heart and Soul at Chapman University” to symbolize the spirit of Wilkinson College, an orange to represent our location in the city of Orange, a paintbrush and palette for the arts, and a globe for the social sciences and humanities.”
Ellison Thompson (‘29 Studio Art)
“The image reflects the unbridled joy of being a creative in Wilkinson College.”
Don’t forget to grab some of these awesome designs at upcoming events! Congratulations winners!
