Announcing the 9th Annual International Poetry Reading call for Papers – The Art of Poetry: Love and Death in Poetry

The 2013 International Poetry Reading invites the campus community to submit a poem (in any language other than English) related to the arts by a well-known poet in his/her original language along with the English translation.
Please send entries to Professor Walter Tschacher by Friday, April 1, 2013 at 5 p.m.
All submissions must include the following:
- Name of submitter
- Name of poet with short biography in English
- Poem in the original language
- English translation with translator’s name
- Poem’s connection with the Arts
Faculty in the Department of Languages will select poems for presentation in their original language and in English so that a variety of languages are represented at this year’s reading.
The reading will be followed by a sumptuous buffet of international foods from the countries represented at the reading.
