Congratulations to our new Ph.D.s in Education!

Congratulations are in order to our four new Ph.D.s in Education (above, left to right), Stephanie Brown, Christy Neria, Alaine Ocampo and John Erratt! All four have successfully defended their doctoral dissertations and will have their hooding ceremony at Commencement on May 21st! Committee members for Stephanie Brown’s dissertation were Dawn Hunter (chair) Phil Ferguson, John Brady and Mary McNeil. Committee members for John Erratt’s dissertation were Philip Ferguson (chair), Anna Wilson, Anthony Normore and Mary McNeil. Committee members for Christy Neria’s dissertation were Philip Ferguson (chair), Dawn Hunter, Dianne Ferguson, and Ann Nevin. Committee members for Alaine Ocampo’s dissertation were Joel Colbert (chair), Kelly Kennedy, Judy Montgomery, and Ann Nevin.
Our four new Ph.D.s came in with the first class of doctoral students when the program began in the fall of 2007. They are all part of the Disabilities Studies emphasis in the Ph.D. in Education program. On behalf of the faculty and staff of the CES, we would like to congratulate them on their hard work for the past four years! They are on their way to being public intellectuals and changing the world through changing education.
