Now through August 2015 you will have the opportunity to see art at John Wayne Airport from the collections of five Orange County colleges and universities, including works from our very own collection here at Chapman!

The exhibition was curated by Chris Hoff, and is titled “HIDDEN TREASURES: Art from the Permanent Collections of Orange County Colleges and Universities”. It also includes work from the collections of California State University, Fullerton; Fullerton College; Laguna College of Art + Design, and the University of California, Irvine. We are so happy to be a part of this marvelous exhibition, and we are proud to represent Chapman among so many other great institutions.

Chapman’s Escalette Collection provided paintings, photos and prints from great artists like Mark Bradford, John Divola, Frank Gehry, Roy Lichtenstein, Elizabeth Murray and Chapman alumnus Michael Reafsnyder, just to name a few. We’ve included some of our favorite pieces and artists that represent the best of Southern California art– you won’t want to miss this exhibition.  So next time you are flying out of John Wayne Airport, be sure to stop by the Vi Smith Concourse Gallery in the Thomas F. Riley Terminal, across from Gates 18 through 21.

Chapman’s art collection is sure to brighten your travel day!
