October 20, 2025
On September 9, 2025, Chapman University’s Office of Community Relations received The HUB OC’s Gratitude Award, the organization’s highest recognition for community partners. This award honors Chapman’s longstanding partnership with The HUB and our commitment to inspiring and equipping the next generation of leaders in Orange.
Cam Geringer-Pate, Director of Grants and Strategic Partnerships at The HUB OC, presented the Gratitude Award to Chapman University’s Office of Community Relations Vice President, Alisa Driscoll, recognizing the shared mission to inspire and empower future leaders.
Over the past several years, Chapman students, faculty, and staff have worked alongside the nonprofit to serve the Orange community in meaningful and lasting ways. Through Chapman’s work-study program, students gain valuable professional experience serving unhoused neighbors and supporting the Youth Centers of Orange. Chapman’s Attallah College of Educational Studies also partners with The HUB to provide tutoring and academic support, ensuring that young people in our community have the tools they need to thrive. Together, The HUB and Chapman co-host the annual Future Leaders of Orange awards, celebrating students who excel in academics, leadership, and citizenship.
“We’re so grateful for our long-standing partnership with Chapman University. Their students bring incredible passion, creativity, and care to our programs. Whether they are a part of Chapman’s Work Study Program serving students at the Youth Centers of Orange, or volunteering their time with our unhoused community at our Hub Resource Center, the work we get to do simply wouldn’t be possible without Chapman’s ongoing commitment to inspiring and equipping the next generation of leaders here in Orange,” said Geringer-Pate.
“We are deeply thankful for this recognition and even more grateful for the meaningful partnership we share with The HUB OC,” said Driscoll. “Their team does extraordinary work, and we’re honored that Chapman students have the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead through this collaboration.”
