Moses in Gradulation RegaliaMarriage & Family Therapy graduate student Moses Acevedo shares, “I am beyond grateful to receive this grant, especially since it came unexpectedly. It reminded me that if you work hard and be kind, amazing things will happen.”

As for his future plans, Moses said, “I intend to live a life filled with authenticity and peace, in which, in my future career as an MFT I aspire to create an environment where society can grow into their genuine and unique self. I completed my undergrad at Chapman and truly enjoyed my experience here. Fortunately, the graduate program has shown to continue this experience and exceed my expectations. Staff, professors, my cohort, and the cohorts before me have shown nothing but openness. Granting the comfort to become the therapist I aspire to be. I am lucky enough to have this experience and I wish this for anyone looking to continue their education.”

The California Chafee Grant for Foster Youth (Chafee Grant) awards up to $5,000 a year to eligible foster youth to attend college.

Congratulations Moses on your Chaffee grant! We are so proud of you and all of our amazing alumni!
