The Chapman University Commencement weekend is just around the corner and we are getting excited! We want to make sure Crean College seniors, faculty, and staff have all the essential information needed to have a hassle-free experience. University Commencement Ceremony  (all schools and colleges), Friday, May 17, 2024 7:00 p.m. Wilson Field University Commencement Ceremony is your opportunity to celebrate graduation with the entire class of 2024. All schools and colleges participate. Highlights will include:
  • Turning of the tassels as President Struppa will officially confer the degrees
  • Celebrity keynote speaker: Bill Hader, Actor, Writer, and Producer
  • An official welcome from the Alumni Association
  • Open Seating – means you can sit with your friends!
  • Only graduating students may reserve guest tickets. Guest tickets must be reserved by May 3, 2024. Due to limited seating, students can reserve up to six (6) guest tickets. Tickets are not required for students, but students must RSVP to attend through Marching Order.
  • Entry gates to Wilson Field open 1 hour prior to the start of the ceremony.
  • Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
  • Standby Line
    • A standby line is available at the Wilson Gate Entrance, beginning at 5:30 p.m. 
    • Guests in the standby line will be admitted, based on venue capacity, after 6:45 p.m.

Updated Ticketing Information:

  • In light of recent events on college campuses and in alignment with our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone attending, tickets are now required for all commencement degree ceremonies. There is no limit to tickets.

Graduates in all Crean College academic programs (undergraduate and graduate) are invited to participate. The ceremony will begin with a welcome by Dean Hill followed by a keynote address from Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Reg Stewart, Ph.D. Then comes time for you to walk across the stage and get your hard-earned diploma!

When and Where to Line-Up for CHBS Commencement:

  • Students: Line-up begins at 7:15 a.m. in Hutton Sports Center. Arrive in your cap and gown. Please no personal items.
  • Faculty: Line-up begins at 7:15 a.m. in Anderson Athletic Complex. Arrive in your academic regalia.

We encourage everyone to use public transportation or Uber/Lyft during Commencement Weekend. Avoid driving and parking as it can be difficult.
