Jason Carbone, Executive Producer & Founder of Good Clean Fun, is coming to speak to Dodge College students on Tuesday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m. in Argyros Forum room 202.
Jason Carbone is the Executive Producer behind a number of America’s longest running and most popular celebrity based reality shows that have riveted millions of fans. While giving America insider access to the lives of their favorite celebrities, he has been honored with four NAACP Image Award nominations and a win for the positive portrayal of African American individuals and families through his work. Carbone is the Founder of the Los Angeles based production company, Good Clean Fun, known for its proven track record of bringing to television the compelling real life drama that keeps America tuned in.
This reality TV veteran first achieved success with Road Rules and The Real World on MTV. Having built a strong relationship with the network, he Executive Produced the MTV reality series The Life of Ryan about then 17 year old teen skateboarding phenomenon Ryan Sheckler which broke fresh ground for the genre and brought extreme sports to mass audiences.
Carbone was the Co-Executive Producer and Director of ABC’s pop culture powerhouses The Bachelor & The Bachelorette for three years, launching and shaping both series. A trailblazer, he harnessed the power of reality television to connect with audiences by tapping into the drama and emotionally charged journey of singles to find “the one.” As a result of Carbone’s guiding vision for both series, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have become two of the most successful reality shows of all time, going strong for ten years and still making headlines.
In 2005 Carbone founded Good Clean Fun Productions and made a name for the company by launching and helming six seasons of the NAACP Award-winning MTV reality show Run’s House. The popular show chronicled the lives of the first family of hip hop, led by legendary rap pioneer Rev. Run (Joseph Simmons) of Run DMC fame.
In 2009 after the proven success of Run’s House in attracting a loyal audience of millions, Carbone Executive Produced the MTV spin-off Daddy’s Girls which followed Vanessa and Angela Simmons as they made their move to Los Angeles to start their new business venture, Pastry sneakers and shoes which continues as a successful brand today.
In 2010 TV Land premiered Harry Loves Lisa, the highly publicized series starring celebrity power couple Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna, Executive Produced by Jason Carbone. The series welcomed America into the Hollywood lives of the couple and their two pre-teen daughters. The premiere was one of the highest rated ever for TV Land.
Jason Carbone is currently the Executive Producer of Style Network’s hit reality show Tia & Tamera, which premiered in 2011 to record breaking numbers. It quickly became the most-watched show in Style Network’s 12 year history. The show, now going strong in its second season, chronicles the lives of former Sister, Sister child stars as they navigate the tight rope balancing act of managing their successful careers with the major life-changing events of marriage and motherhood. With a second baby on the way, season 2 promises to be full of drama and surprises and Carbone will bring viewers deeper into their lives as the bonds of sisterhood are put to the test.
