Additional Career Resource Added to Dodge College Jon Hernandez is the New Career Advisor
October 17, 2018
Chapman University has started a new initiative to bolster career support to students and alumni through the implementation of a Career Advisor who is dedicated to a respective school or college.
I am happy to join Dodge College of Film and Media Arts as the new Career Advisor. Starting immediately, I will be taking appointments with students who would like to review resumes and cover letters, and go over job search and interview tactics. Please visit Handshake when you’re ready to make an appointment.
I have been with Chapman University since 2016 having started as an admission counselor for graduate programs of Wilkinson College, College of Performing Arts, School of Communication, and Dodge College where I may have helped many of you complete your application. I then moved into the Alumni Relations Coordinator position for Dodge College at the beginning of 2018 where I created content for the alumni blog, created the new Alumni Advisory Board, and the new Alumni Mentor Program which is currently in its pilot stage. And now I look forward to working with many of you to help prepare you for what comes next.
Many of you have already been meeting with Professor Barbara Doyle to discuss resumes, internships and jobs, and my role will provide you with another resource in these areas.
I look forward to meeting and assisting Dodge College students and alumni in this new role.
