Big news for all Chapman University students! There is a new online marketplace now available on the CU Mobile App exclusively for Chapman University Students. Students no longer have to resorts to Facebook groups to easily buy and sell goods and services. Chapman University has chosen Ulyngo, a company started by a former Chapman student, to power its online student marketplace. The marketplace can be accessed across all devices using a Chapman student ID. With the new Chapman “Student Market”, students will be able to post and find products quickly and easily, communicate with each other safely through internal messaging, and securely make payments and receive disbursements through integrated payment processing.
“At Chapman, we are always looking for ways to enhance the student experience.,” – Helen Norris, CIO of Chapman University. “Adding Ulyngo provides an easy-to-use student marketplace that will create a more sustainable and affordable campus experience.”
Here’s some of the functionality that students can look forward to:
- Filter products and services by location (even specific dorms and housing locations)
- Create posts fast and easy
- Message users through the marketplace. No need to give out personal information
- Make offers and complete transactions digitally
- Keep track of your offer
- Easily accessible on any mobile device using the CU Mobile App.
The Student Government Association is supporting the roll-out and President Mitchell Rosenberg has taken the lead.
“We are committed to building awareness and adoption among our student body and the upcoming features to post and search by on-campus housing location, curriculum, and even lifestyle will make this a very relevant service for our students.”
Students can access the marketplace by logging in with their student ID at studentmarket.chapman.edu or by clicking on the Buy and Sell button on both the Chapman University and CU Panther Experience app.
