Professor Ronald Rotunda published an op-ed in the Los Angeles Daily Journal, entitled “Simplify, Simplify: A Mantra for Transcendentalists and Tax Reformers Alike.”  Professor Rotunda’s article discusses the effect of lowering tax rates and praises the tax plan proposed by Presidential candidate, John McCain.  “History shows that lowering tax rates will help the economy, make taxes more progressive and raise more money for the government.  That is not a typo.  Reducing taxes raises more money for the federal government, not less – just as Wal-Mart makes more money than Tiffany’s although Tiffany’s charges higher prices,”  he wrote.
