The Intersection of Art and Feminism
March 13, 2015
Here on the Chapman campus, we are lucky enough to be surrounded by art in many forms. We have collections of art and memorabilia scattered throughout the library in addition to sculptures and statues and fountains throughout the campus. The Chapman University philosophy believes that art inspires us to be greater thinkers and students. The
Guggenheim Gallery at Chapman University
is an extension of that philosophy. Their current exhibit is entitled,
XX Redux- Revisiting a Feminist Art Collective
, and it explores feminism within art.
Here in the Leatherby Libraries, we like to support current exhibits around campus. We created a display case with items from our collection that align with this theme. All of these items are available for check out. Just ask at the Circulation desk on the first floor.
