Are you working on your Thesis or Dissertation as a graduate student?

Are you a student graduating this May 2025?

Are you ready to take the final step in your academic journey?

If so, the Leatherby Libraries is thrilled to bring back our popular workshop, “Submitting Your Thesis or Dissertation to the Library,” designed to help ALL graduate students smoothly and confidently navigate the submission process. Whether polishing up your final draft or just getting started, this workshop will help students ensure their hard work gets the finish it deserves!

*We have organized both an in-person and virtual workshop to ensure all interested participants will have the opportunity to attend. Kristin Laughtin-Dunker, our Chair of Resources and Scholarly Communications, will host these workshops.*

1. The In-Person Workshop will occur on Tuesday, March 18th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherby Libraries Instruction Room 305. Participants can register for this workshop here.

2. The Virtual Workshop will occur online on Thursday, March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Our team will send a link to the event via registration email. Participants can register for this workshop here.

Topics covered in these workshops will include:

· Formatting requirements for dissertations and theses

· Librarian review procedures

· Submissions to Chapman University Digital Commons and ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global

Attendees will also gain access to valuable checklists and fillable templates that will make the submission process easy and efficient.

The workshop will end with a Q&A session so that graduate students can get answers to questions that they may have about the thesis and submission process.

For more information about the submission process, check out our Thesis and Dissertation LibGuide, or contact our Chair of Resources & Scholarly Communications at laughtin@chapman.edu with any questions.

Note: Both the in-person and virtual workshops will teach the same content.
