The Leatherby Libraries Community of Readers  joined together this past Thursday for a relaxing afternoon of reading and sharing books.

From 12 – 1 p.m. the Community of Readers held a brown bag lunch. Community members brought food, held an apple tasting and shared what they’ve been reading this summer. The first monthly drawing was held at this time and the winner received a tote bag among many other goodies. (For information about the Community of Readers program – and how easy it is to join and win! – visit leatherbycommunity.blogspot.com.)

From 1 – 5 p.m. the Center for American War Letters Reading Room hosted a Read-a-thon Open House. Guests dropped in and out whenever they were available, sharing snacks and receiving a reading sticker and library gifts.

To submit to the monthly drawing, make sure to leave reviews at our Community of Readers blog. Happy reading!

Join us for our last monthly drawing and lunch party on August 19, 2016 at the Center for War Letters, Leatherby Libraries, Lower Level. More details soon.
