Only three weeks before her graduation, Chapman University School of Pharmacy lost a bright, hardworking, kind student. Savanah Tran is remembered fondly by her family, partner, friends, and pharmily as the “epitome of beauty, grace, selflessness, and above all strength”*. She was an asset to the pharmacies she served during her IPPEs and APPEs, and is known well throughout Chapman University and the School of Pharmacy for her positivity and dedication to truly making the world a better place.

Savanah was heavily involved on campus in both recreational and academic circles. She was an active member of AMCP, APhA-ASP, CSHP/ASHP, PDC, and PLS, and had completed a capstone with Dr. Mary Gutierrez. Chapman Pharmacy has unanimously voted to award Savanah her PharmD posthumously. Savanah’s name has been engraved into the cenotaph at the Fish Interfaith Center at the Orange Campus.

Staff and faculty of Chapman Pharmacy have also introduced a giving opportunity for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of Savanah Tran to directly benefit the research and support services for people affected by blood cancers.
