Chapman University School of Pharmacy (CUSP) is proud to celebrate another excellent year in the ASHP residency and fellowship match! CUSP graduates and alumni secured 40 PGY-1 residency matches, 7 PGY-2 residency matches, and 1 fellowship across 7 states. Additionally, we had one student accept an offer for an unaccredited residency.

Earlier this year, it was announced that CUSP achieved an 82.2% PGY-1 ASHP-accredited residency match rate in Phase 1, which is the highest in California and a reflection of the caliber of our Doctor of Pharmacy program.

“This year’s results are something the entire CUSP community should be incredibly proud of,” says Jelena Lewis, Pharm.D., Associate Professor and Director of Residency and Fellowship Programs at CUSP. “Earning the highest PGY-1 match rate in California for Phase 1 is a powerful testament to the dedication of our students and the strength of the program. We cannot wait to see the impact they make in the lives of their patients and the evolving healthcare landscape we work in.”

These results speak to the quality of training, mentorship, and resources that define Chapman University School of Pharmacy education. From their first year of didactic coursework through their advanced pharmacy practice experiences, our students are equipped to succeed nationally in a variety of career paths.

As our newest graduates and alumni embark on their residency and fellowships, the Chapman faculty and staff wish them success. We look forward to the meaningful contributions they will make to patient care, pharmacy practice, and the future of healthcare.
