It’s only the end of the first week of Spring Semester, but Chapman TV students are already off to a great start.

In Byte-Sized Television II we screened the two web series pilots shot during the fall, worked on story arcs for the 3 episodes of each we’ll write, shoot and edit this semester, then started developing the story outlines for the next episode.  In Business of Television we talked about how the major braodcast networks develop their prime time lineups, including both creative and financial considerations.  Then in Seminar in TV writing we screened episodes of House and Hung and discussed the basics of developing a story for a current prime time drama – which is exactly what each student will do for the next 15 weeks, write his/her own script for a favorite drama or comedy.

Of course all this is in addition to everything else going on – guest speakers, screenings, editing of the two full-length pilots shot during January interterm.  There’s always something great happening in TV at Chapman.
