An event that needs no introduction! Come see this year’s slate of amazing Destination: Africa documentaries Thursday, November 29th.  This year’s documentaries were filmed in Mozambique last summer, and run the gamut of compelling characters and subjects. As always, delicious free food and drink will be provided!

Next Thursday, one week after we’ve all said our Thanksgiving thanks and returned to school to begin our final push towards finals, the crew from this summer’s Destination: Africa documentary travel course will screen their short films for the whole world to see.
Destination: Africa, Mozambique

This year’s films focus on non-governmental organizations in Africa, where students interact with local civilians and groups to document the experiences and cultures in an ’embedded’ journalistic perspective.

Check out some of the student-filmmakers’ accounts of their time in Africa, and a bevy of pictures from their time planning and shooting their films,
in this previous blog post
.

We hope you’ll join us
Thursday, November 29th, at 7PM in the Folino Theater
, as we screen the short films.  Attendees are encouraged to ask questions and learn more about the subjects in an open dialogue with the filmmaking teams after the screenings, as well.
