On Saturday, October 1, in addition to it being Homecoming, Dodge College will also be celebrating the 10th anniversary of our move into Marion Knott Studios and the 20th anniversary of the creation of the School of Film and Television, later named Dodge College in honor of the transforming gift of Larry and Kristina Dodge.

We would love for you to join us for the festivities, as we have so many exciting things planned for that day!

The entire day will be an interactive open house, showcasing the work of current and past students. Network with fellow members of the Dodge College community and reflect on your noticeable impact on our legacy.

Here are just some of the great events planned for it:

  • 11:30AM – 12:30PM: To start things off, Dean Bob Bassett will offer opening remarks during “Dialogue with the Dean”
  • 12:30PM- 1:30PM: Networking Reception
  • 12:30PM – 3PM: Open House at MKS and DMAC
  • 1:30PM – 3:30PM – Alumni Showcase Screening
  • 3PM – 3:30PM: Reception for First Cut
  • 3:30PM – 5PM : First Cut Encore Screening

During the open house, you’ll be able to check out both Marion Knott Studios and the Digital Media Arts Center, both of which will have plenty to see; from workshops, caricature drawings, and student work showcasing to camera museums, and more.

During our Alumni Showcase, you’ll have to chance to screen your films in front of the audience. There is still plenty of time to submit, and you may do so by clicking here.

A few weeks ago, we asked you to share your memories from the last 20 years! We will be showcasing those throughout the weekend, as well as online, leading up to the event.

And finally, end the night at the Homecoming Football game, as well as take part in all of the great events Chapman University has going on throughout the weekend.

Be sure to add Dodge College’s anniversary during Chapman’s Homecoming to your calendar, and we hope to see you then!
