Padres Unidos, a Santa Ana based nonprofit recently sponsored a 12 week Spanish-language parenting workshop that resulted in a graduation celebration at Holy Family Cathedral in Orange.  Word spread about the program, which gave the sixty participants a new insight into handling conflicts with their children— without resorting to anger.   The program emphasized that parents should act out of love and stay close to God while communicating with their children.  Our very own Chapman University College of Educational Studies interns worked with the parent teams to help them improve upon patience, building up the family unit, and encouraging their children with school.  One topic discussed was the importance of upholding family traditions, while guiding their children to be successful in American society.  To read the entire article see the article from the Catholic Diocesan.
