macOS Ventura is Now Available to Download on Chapman Managed Devices

macOS Ventura is Now Available for Update

Chapman University Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) team has made macOS Ventura (version 13) available to download on all Chapman-managed Macs. This operating system offers improved mail, password security, spotlight search, system settings, and continuity experiences.

To update your Mac, please follow the following steps:

1- Check compatibility

MacBook Pro, introduced in 2017 or later
MacBook Air, introduced in 2018 or later
MacBook, introduced in 2017 or later
Mac mini, introduced in 2018 or later
iMac, introduced in late 2017 or later
iMac Pro
Mac Studio
Mac Pro, introduced in 2019 or later

2- Back up your Mac.

Before upgrading, it’s a good idea to save your important data.

3- Use Software Update to get macOS Ventura

From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Preferences, then click Software Update. When Software Update finds macOS Ventura, click Upgrade Now to install it.

• How to update macOS
• If an error occurs while downloading or installing
• If you don’t have enough storage space to install the update
• If your Mac stops at an Apple logo or progress bar during installation
