We’re excited to report that Chapman University’s 2025 Summer Software Showcase, held virtually on July 22nd, was a vibrant and engaging event! The showcase brought together staff and faculty from across the university to explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping productivity tools and workflows. 

Event Highlights, Hands-On Learning, and Live Demos 

  • Playlab Demo: Participants learned to create custom AI-powered apps using Playlab, a flexible no-code platform designed for educators. 
  • Zoom AI Companion: A demonstration of the new Zoom AI features that enhance virtual meetings and collaboration. 
  • PantherAI: The workshop attendees experienced unparalleled flexibility and efficiency with PantherAI’s multi-model approach. A tool built on open-source technology, combining GPT-4 (via Azure OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), and Gemini (Google) into one powerful platform. 
  • Deepfake Awareness: A fascinating look into the creation and detection of deepfakes, highlighting the ethical considerations of AI-generated media. 
  • Lightning Talks – Microsoft Loop, Google NotebookLM and More: An engaging session that included project management tips with Microsoft Loop, learning how to use AI to streamline your workflow, and getting a quick look at the powerful features of NotebookLM.
