Dean John Eastman spoke at a press conference in Sacramento, California regarding the filing of a suit to block illegal state tax increases. The suit was filed by The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association (HJTA) and Chapman’s Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, joined by the National Federation of Independent Business and more than 40 state legislators to block the implementation of new taxes approved by the Legislature without the constitutionally required two-thirds vote.
