The Leatherby Libraries and Schmid College of Science and Technology present ”An Illuminating Look at Legumes,” an exhibit of botanical art by the Botanical Artists Guild of Southern California. The exhibit begins on February 19, 2015, and will continue throughout the month of March.

For the past several years, botanical artists from around Southern California have gathered to exhibit their drawings and paintings of plants in the Leatherby Libraries. This year’s exhibit explores legumes – plants such as peanuts, beans, or lentils – in all their forms. The exhibit is held in conjunction with Dr. Jennifer Funk and students from the
biological sciences program
at Chapman University.

To celebrate the opening of the exhibit, the library is hosting an Artists’ Reception and Demonstration on
Wednesday, February 25, at 5:30 p.m. in the Doy and Dee Henley Reading Room
(Leatherby Libraries, second floor).  The reception is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Laurie Cussalli at
