Library Enhances its Room Booking System More hours ... multiple bookings added
August 10, 2016
Since March of last year, the library’s Circulation team has been working hard to update and improve the room booking system at the Leatherby Libraries regularly.
This summer they surprised us with an exciting new change: More hours and multiple bookings.
In previous years, library users could only book one session at a time, restricted to their hourly quota. Now, they may reserve multiple bookings as long as they do not exceed the total four hours block quota. “For example, undergraduates have a 4 hour block quota which can be used as one 4-hour booking, two 2-hour bookings, etc.” Past sessions will also adjust and return the time amount back into your quota allowing you the option to immediately book another session.
This change increases the flexibility in creating study sessions and allows users the option to create multiple bookings at the same time. During the busy semester, these bookable rooms are perfect to hold study sessions, reserve quiet places to study, utilize the media room or work on group and collaborative projects.
As usual, you can stop by the circulation or reference desk if you have any questions about the new and improved Room Booking System.
Happy booking!
