2024 Community of Readers

.

The Community of Readers summer reading program encourages members of the Chapman community to explore the Leatherby Libraries’ extensive catalog of physical and e-books. To participate, Chapman students, staff, faculty, and alumni just have to read a book from our catalog and post a review to the Community of Readers Blog. You might even win a prize! If you want to participate, you can RSVP for our upcoming meetings here.

Our Journeying Through the Leatherby Libraries Catalog display features a diverse selection of books, including bestsellers, classics, and hidden gems, across various genres such as science fiction, history, and self-help. We have even included selections from our past Community of Readers’ participants. With books such as Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus, a beloved Community of Readers selection for the past few years, and Teaching Life Skills Through Chess: A Guide for Educators and Counselors by Fernando Moreno, you will surely find a new book that you’ll love.

Stop by the display in the Lewis Family Reading room on the first floor to view our physical book display or pick up a copy of our bibliography, including our physical and e-book selections. This display was curated by Leatherby Libraries student employees Arianna Tillman ’25, Isabella Piechota ’25, and Kalea Brown ’26.
