Working on your senior thesis? Buried in research for a major paper? Consider using your research to enter the Leatherby Libraries’ annual competition: the Undergraduate Research Prize.

The Kevin and Tam Ross Undergraduate Research Prize recognizes excellent research and effective use of library resources by Chapman University undergraduate students. Applicants are asked to write an essay about their selection, evaluation, and use of library resources for work on a research paper or project. Judges will be looking for originality, depth, or sophistication in the use of library resources and demonstrated information literacy.

The competition is open to all Chapman undergraduates. Students in all majors and class levels are strongly encouraged to apply. Papers or projects may be in progress at the time the application is submitted.

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2015. Three winning students will receive a certificate of achievement and a cash prize at this year’s award ceremony in May 2015.
