The Leatherby Libraries is participating in a pilot project to make open-access, peer-reviewed ebooks easier to find and use by adding nearly 20,000 ebooks from the OAPEN Library to the library catalog!

Students, faculty, and staff may find these books by searching for “Open Access eBooks from OAPEN library” as a keyword in the library catalog or going directly to the complete listing here.
A search for OAPEN Library ebooks in the library catalogOAPEN Library is an online library and publication platform run by the OAPEN Foundation in the Netherlands that supports the transition to open access for academic books, primarily from European publishers. (OAPEN stands for Open Access Publishing in European Networks.) The books cover various disciplines and come from European university presses, academic consortia, or scholarly publishers.

While most titles are in English, there are also books in other languages studied at Chapman University, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, German, ancient Greek, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Portuguese, and Spanish.
